How do I pay for tickets? Bring a valid STUDENT ID when you purchase tickets. We strongly recommend using a Credit/Debit Card or Fenway Cash to make your purchase. The Info Hub does not accept cash (paper currency) for transactions above $20. The Info Hub only accepts cash between the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Please note that the Wentworth Ski and Snowboard club does not process transactions. For questions regarding payment, contact the Center for Student Engagement (Campus Life) at 617-989-4080 or email@example.com
So what is this, exactly? We're a group of winter sports enthusiasts who want to share our love of winter with as many people as possible. What better way than organizing discounted ski trips?
I go to Emmanuel, MASSART, MCPHSU, Simmons, or Wheelock. Can I go on WITSki's trips? Absolutely! We get totally stoked when students from other COF schools join us! COF Students must go to Wentworth's Info Hub to purchase tickets. Please note that only our Loon, Stowe, and Sunday River trips are available to COF students. COF students are unfortunately not allowed to bring guests on our trips. Please contact Lauren Tyger of Campus Life at firstname.lastname@example.org for details on Wentworth's COF and guest policy.
Can I bring a Friend? Usually. They must be 18+ and you are responsible for your guest. They must follow all Wentworth rules as listed in the Student Code of Conduct. Guests may not be allowed on overnight trips.
I want to go with a group of Friends... We're totally stoked that groups of friends want to come on our trips! From our experience, it's best to buy your tickets as soon as they go on sale. That way you and all your friends can come!
I don't know how to ski or ride... No problem! Skiing and Snowboarding are fun and rewarding sports, and lessons are the fastest way to get good. If you're interested in a lesson, we have a ticket package for you. Please email us and we will happily guide you through the process!
Can I bring my own equipment? YES! Our Bus Only tickets and our Bus and Lift tickets are for our members that have their own equipment. Rentals are available for our members that do not have equipment. We recommend stowing your boots and helment in the overhead bins on the bus to keep them warm during transit.
Do I need a special bag for my equipment? Ski and snowboard bags are strongly recommended to help protect equipment while in transit and speed loading and unloading operations. Some of our members use straps or velcro to tie together skis and poles for transit. Please keep in mind that we're not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to equipment and luggage during the trip.
What time does the Bus leave Wentworth? Our bus departs from Wentworth's West Lot (The parking lot behind the MassArt Treehouse). The bus typically leaves at 5:30 AM . Don't sleep in, we don't wait for anyone!
5:30 AM? Haven't you guys heard of SLEEP? Yep. 5:30 AM. This departure time is essential in order to maximize our time on the slopes!
Can we stop at Dunks? The bus does not stop on the way to the mountain. For those of you with small bladders, there is a bathroom on the bus. On the way home, we'll stop for a short break near a fast-food restaurant if everyone's interested. We ask everyone before we leave the mountain.
How much does it cost? WITSki offers several different ticket packages to meet the demands of our members. These include Bus Only, Bus and Lift, Bus, Lift and Rental, or Bus, Lift, Rental, and Lesson. These prices change from trip to trip, see the SKI TRIPS page for the most up to date information.
I couldn't make the trip because _______. Sorry, we do not offer refunds.
Will I be back in time for the game, party, etc? We leave the mountain no later than 4:30 PM. Depending on the distance to the mountain and traffic, we're usually back between 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM.
Can I drive myself to the mountain? No. Sorry, Wentworth Club Rules. You have to take our bus. It's a nice coach bus though. Plus they usually have outlets and free WiFi. And you won't get road salt all over your car. Bonus!
I live close or have famliy/friends close to the mountain. Can I meet you guys there? Sure! We'll see you there, but we can't offer any of our discounted tickets unless you join us on the bus from Wentworth.
What if the weather is not great? Our trips will run whatever the weather unless travel is deemed hazardous and a travel ban is enacted by federal, state, and/or local authorities. In the event such a ban or other severe weather may impact one of our trips, please stay tuned to your email for updates from us. Please note that snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind, freezing rain, and ice are normal conditions that people ski and ride in New England. Although we would only like clear or snowy conditions, WITSki has absolutely no control over the weather!
But, but, but... We strongly recommend dressing for the conditions. This means you should wear waterproof and water resistant gear, and bring a change of dry clothes, etc to be warm and dry. For tips on how to dress for skiing and riding, click here or here.
